What is the Mobdro add-on?

Many people choose to install Mobdro on Kodi thanks to its ease of use, ability to provide high-quality links, and the fact that it provides access to a wealth of live TV channels from many countries throughout the world. It works similarly to other add-ons which include the likes of Ultra TV, Chronos, and more.

In terms of keeping the add-on up to date, you’ll be happy to know that this is a process which is done automatically as standard. However, you could also choose to update it for yourself if you’d like.

What’s more, you’ll also find that wherever you are based, you are sure to find exactly the content you are looking for. You have so many options to choose from, with categories including the likes of sports, movies, TV shows, family-friendly content, and much more.

However, it is worth mentioning that Mobdro is an unofficial third-party add-on which provides access to copyrighted material. This means that it is not endorsed by Kodi, and is considered to be illegal in many countries around the world. This includes the likes of Australia, the UK, and the USA.

So, to ensure your protection when using add-ons such as Mobdro, you will need to take the necessary precautions. You can do just that by signing up to a VPN service, which we will provide more details on later in the article.

Why you should use a VPN

Now that you’ve learned how to install Mobdro on Kodi, it’s time for you to find out the reasons why it has become more important than ever to keep yourself protected online. The perfect way to do just that is with a Virtual Private Network (VPN). In the following section, you’ll find out everything you need to know about a VPN and discover precisely why you need one.

In the modern age, encrypting your data has become more critical than ever – whether you’re just browsing the internet, inputting payment details, or sending emails. When you use add-ons such as Mobdro on Kodi, the content which you have access to is often copyrighted material. So, if you happen to be caught streaming such content, you could end up getting yourself into trouble.

This usually involves receiving a letter from a Government body or your internet service provider (ISP) which states that if you continue to view copyrighted material, you could end up having your service cut off. In some cases, people have even received a huge fine.

However, there is a way in which you can keep your data protected and your IP address hidden, and that is with a VPN service. Depending on your budget and usage, there are plenty of options at your disposal – with both paid for and free services for you to choose from.

Windscribe is a hugely popular VPN service which offers both free and premium plans. With each plan, you get access to a whole host of locations around the world. So, you most definitely aren’t short of options when it comes to this particular service.

With that being said, the free version of Windscribe is held back due to the fact there is a 10GB monthly data limit. This might not be enough for regular streamers, and so you’d have to consider upgrading if you feel this isn’t enough for you. This is where their premium plans come in – they offer access to even more locations, and you can enjoy the benefit of unlimited data usage too!

IPVanish, NordVPN, and ExpressVPN are other premium VPN services you can choose from. Each of these services are highly regarded for their reliable and speedy service, with all of them providing different price plans to choose from. So, whatever your budget might be, there’s sure to be something to suit your needs.

Regardless of the VPN service, you decide to opt for, the main thing is that you most definitely need to use a VPN service when streaming online content. Hide your IP address and keep yourself protected – it’s certainly not worth the risk when using unofficial add-ons such as Mobdro on Kodi.

You’ve now learned all about how to install Mobdro on Kodi, and how to keep yourself protected when streaming online with a VPN. All that’s left now is to sit back, relax, and enjoy all of the content that is now at your disposal!
