The first one on the list is aTorrent which offers a free version, with everything that you need. It is easy to download and extremely user-friendly. It offers a modern design and allows you to download the desired files easily.

Although this may not work perfectly, it does work very well. The functionality and design are modern, sleek, and very clean. It has very similar features to that of uTorrent for Android, and it allows you to do most of the same things. You are also able to specify the location on your phone for storage. You can download over wifi.

It supports magnet URI and provides you with a practical screen icon. Overall the design of this app is more aesthetically pleasing than that of uTorrent if we had to be honest. What impressed us the most is that it’s capable of supporting external SD cards. It is easy to launch on startup and is a great app. Although there are bugs, there seem to be more positives than negatives.

Flud-Torrent Downloader

Flud is easy to download uTorrent app, just go directly to the Google Play store. The design is simple yet effective. If you don’t mind a few ads, the free version is just as capable. It has similar capabilities to that of uTorrent.

Downloading files and movies has never been easier. If you know how to download movies on android on uTorrent, then this will be easy. We found Flud to be very impressive. It supports larger files, which will allow you to download higher definition movies easily and effectively.

Flud gives you the ability to download files sequentially. In addition, you can move files while they are busy in the downloading process. You are given the option to download on WIFI only if you choose to do so. It offers many additional bells and whistles such as “proxy support” and IP filtering.

All in all, Flud is a remarkable torrent downloader. It offers everything in one small app. It may even be better than uTorrent because of its features. You are even able to change the theme from light to dark and customize things, according to your preferences.

BitTorrent is an excellent Android torrent downloader. It may appear at first glance to be almost identical to that of uTorrent. The interface is easy to use and also has no download size limitation. You can configure the limits in the settings tab easily.

BitTorrent for Android

BitTorrent is purple, whereas uTorrent is green. However, there are more cross-platform ads than uTorrent. To get rid of the ads, you would need to purchase the pro-version. The app allows you to select your download location and supports magnet links. It is extremely user-friendly and will allow you to search, find, and download your favorite movies and series in no time.

In addition, is the integrated video and music library. You can access all of this directly from your phones media. The fact that BitTorrent also doubles over as a media player, makes us very excited.

Although BitTorrent is very similar to uTorrent, we can’t decide between the two. Overall it may just be the perfect alternative to uTorrent.

tTorrent Lite

tTorrent Lite is a handy, friendly, and reliable torrent client. The user interface is clean, simple, and effective. tTorrent makes downloading torrents “on the go,” fast and easy.

tTorrent for Android

You can expect similar features to that of uTorrent. It can even download some of the larger files. It supports multiple file downloads and been specifically designed for Android devices. The new version has a fixed RSS feed, and you can download directly to your phone’s memory.

All in all, the design and functionality make it a winner. However, the latest version seems to crash too often than not. It also tends to get stuck. Unfortunately, uTorrent offers a much smoother user experience. The risk of malfunction is pretty high, which makes this alternative not the best one in our opinion. This is unfortunate as the features and unlimited speeds make it a strong competitor.

Vuze is a uTorrent app which is compatible with all Android devices. The user interface is very clean and simple. There are no hassles and no fuss with Vuze. Simply download from the Google Play Store, install, and you are good to go.

Vuze for Android

It has a unique design and can be seen as three sub-divided tabs on the top. The three tabs consist of downloading, completed, and torrents. This makes for a very similar and easy-to-use downloader, which is light weight, compact, and very powerful for its size.

Vuze has been available for computers, since back in the day. Its Android version is just as reliable and stable. It features a built-in search engine magnet, making your torrents easy to find. It has been designed to allow you to find torrents effectively and easily. To sum it up, it’s a great torrent downloader and is certainly an excellent alternative to uTorrent.

zetaTorrent features a very simple and easy to operate interface. This incredible uTorrent app does the job perfectly. It comes with a built-in browser. It has its own ad blocker which comes with the browser. This is a unique and great torrent downloader with an edge to it.

zetaTorrent for Android

zetaTorrent is a very fast and effective torrent downloader. It has many similar features to that of uTorrent. It is free and incorporates ads. There is the option to upgrade to the pro version for a small fee. Also you can choose your themes which are great.

Overall we were very impressed with zetaTorrent. It is one of the most reliable and consistent downloaders we have come across. It makes a great alternative to uTorrent. It has more positives than negatives for sure. There is no doubt about it zetaTorrent is a uTorrent Android competitor.

TorrDroid is a unique uTorrent app available for direct download via the Play Store. It has a green, white and grey interface. The design is both modern and elegant. It is user-friendly and extremely easy to navigate your way around.

TorrDroid is consistent and reliable. It also incorporates its own search engine. It has very similar features to that of uTorrent. It consists of a simple and clean design. The powerful built-in search engines make it even easier to find the torrents you are searching for.

Overall, TorrDroid may just as effective as uTorrent. Unfortunately, it does not give you an option to purchase a paid-for version. This means you are stuck with ads without having options. Options are always better than no options. Therefore unless you are comfortable with continuous ads, it is middle of the range.

Safety when using torrents

You must remain safe when torrenting. Torrenting, unfortunately, comes with risks.

Firstly if authorities catch you, the consequences can be horrendous. The risk of downloading infected files without your knowledge is very real. These files can damage your entire computer. They can steal your identity and put you at risk for all sorts of cyber crime. You also do not want your ISP to track your every move.

A Virtual Private Network, also known as a VPN, may help you. It can prevent your ISP and other third parties from viewing your internet activities. It will create complete anonymity for you when you are downloading. In addition, it will keep you safe from infected files. The advantages of using a VPN are invaluable. You can still obtain very fast downloading speeds with the use of a VPN.

While there are many VPNs available, we picked the very best one for you. ExpressVPN is the very best VPN for torrenting. It has all around the best features and offers extremely fast servers. These servers operate in nearly 100 countries. But if for some reason you have no sympathy for ExpressVPN, any other service from the list of best Android VPNs should do just fine.

I tried downloading torrents on my phone once and it felt really weird. I don’t know why I felt completely exposed, like suddenly everyone could know I was downloading torrents. So now I only do it on my computer.

I’m not comfortable with downloading on phones. I don’t feel like that can be nearly as secure as my PC, which I’ve got locked down pretty well. Plus I don’t feel like torrents have as much utility on a phone as they do downloading them to my computer, but then again I don’t download a lot of movies and stuff, just programs.

I didn’t even know people torrented on android devices. I don’t think I really need torrents that badly – my phone cost more than my computer, and I’d be terribly afraid to download torrents to my phone and mess it up somehow! It’s fairly comforting to see that Vuze has an android option, because that’s the torrenting software I use on my laptop, but still – scary!

if BitTorrent has no download size then I think it is fine for me, I can download my new movie series without having to bother about having short clips that are shared by other torrent sites. Thanks for sharing this information.
